Planned Giving Opportunities

Bequests
Bequests are fully deductible from estate taxes for the amount of a cash bequest or the market value of other assets donated. The gift could consist of a share of the residue of your estate; it can be an outright gift or in a trust. You can make a bequest for a designated purpose; it can be unrestricted or restricted. An unrestricted gift is usually the most useful to us, as it allows our Board of Directors to use the funds for the greatest need at the time delivered. Most bequest gifts are used to build an endowment for EFAA.

Trusts
A trust is a planned gift designed to benefit both you and EFAA in the future. Along with an immediate income tax charitable deduction, you can assure an income for yourself for life. After that we are allowed to use the remaining funds for our important purposes. There are several types of trusts. To consider which vehicle would be best for your particular situation we recommend that you consult with appropriate legal and financial counsel.

Gifts of Real Estate, Life Insurance and Endowed Funds
These are accepted within policies approved by EFAA's Board of Directors. Please call our Development Director at 303-951-7676 for current information concerning these gifting vehicles.

Thank you for your interest!
