For over 100 years, EFAA has been Boulder’s community safety-net helping families navigate economic shocks. As the coronavirus moves through our community, demand for our services is increasing with each passing day. Together, we can ensure our most vulnerable community members have the food, resources, and financial assistance they need to navigate this unprecedented moment in history.
Here’s how you can help currently (in order of greatest need):
Financial Support. Cash donations will bolster our ability to respond to increased need and offers the greatest flexibility to direct funds where they are needed most. This is huge at a time when our service response is rapidly changing.
Funds will help:
Increase our supply of nonperishable food for distribution
Scale-up emergency assistance to prevent evictions, access medical care, and prevent utility shut-offs
Allow EFAA to develop innovate solutions to provide essential support that minimizes person-to-person contact, such as food cards
Sanitary and household supplies. Like others, we are struggling to procure basic supplies for the families living on our housing sites.
Supplies in greatest need:
Disinfectant wipes / hand sanitizer
Hand / dish soap
Feminine hygiene products
Take Action: Drop off on the North side of our main office during donation hours (below).
Nonperishable Food. We are still accepting nonperishable food donations at our food bank.
Foods in highest need:
Canned proteins (beans, tuna, etc)
Canned fruit / vegetables
Take action: Drop off on the North side of our main office at during donation hours (below).
Spread the word. You are an integral part of our community safety-net. Please share widely with your networks—whether it’s to get or give assistance. If you or someone you know needs help, please call EFAA’s front desk at 303-442-3042 to schedule an appointment and/get more information on services. We’re all in this together.
