We are pleased to inform you that we have redesigned our Furniture Program to better meet the needs of our clients and housing units. Starting July, 1, 2016, EFAA will no longer accept furniture donations and instead will collaborate with local businesses and organizations that specialize in furniture to meet our client’s specific needs. Our services to families in need remain the same — only the process for securing and distributing furniture will change.
The overall intent of the program has always been to provide furniture for EFAA’s short-term housing sites, while also offering furniture to Basic Needs clients. Through partnerships and reallocating existing resources, we will be able to provide vouchers to our Basic Needs clients to obtain the furniture they need from local partners. This change means that our clients will have more personal choice and a larger selection in choosing items for their homes.
If you are interested in donating furniture items, please contact one of our local partners:
TRU Hospice Thrift Shop: 303.604.5353
Humane Society of Boulder Valley Thrift & Gift Shop: 303.415.0685
