Food Bank Volunteers
Fulfillment volunteers are in 1 of 3 zones filling each order from the participant’s form, passing cart to next zone and checking to see if more forms are waiting. The volunteer communicates product need to person stocking. Volunteers will also wipe down areas often, wash hands, strategize and limit the need to “cross-over” into other areas. One volunteer will be behind a table up front (end of food bank) to slide product across the table to the participant and add in random items, possibly dairy items, as well. Two volunteers needed for two zones in the back of the food bank. The 3rd zone is the volunteer up front who may also be the lead.

The morning volunteer will make up bags for produce, TEFAP, cleaning products, bulk items, and deliveries. TEFAP will be bagged in the lobby area, and deliveries in the Conference room. Stocking is needed to fill the shelves for real time orders and ensure that cases are brought upstairs. Extra cases should be brought up from downstairs so that the afternoon fulfillment volunteers do not have to travel to re-stock.
