Holiday Giving

Chances are you have been feeling the impacts of inflation at the grocery store, at the pump, and around our community. This increased cost of basic needs is hitting our economically disadvantaged neighbors hardest. As we approach the holiday season, EFAA calls upon YOU to fight the cost crisis by supporting local families struggling to make ends meet. Read on for a few ways.

Stay on this page for information about holiday food donations, volunteer opportunities, and EFAA’s gift room. Otherwise, if you have any questions please reach out to…

Holiday Food Needs

EFAA’s food bank relies on individual donations to help make the holidays special for families and individuals facing food insecurity. Support the food bank by shopping for EFAA online, hosting a food drive, or dropping off food donations from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., Monday through Friday.

Visit our shopping list here for our current food needs. You can also shop our Amazon Wish List to order the most needed holiday food items directly to EFAA!

Holiday Gift Room

Each year, EFAA hosts a holiday toy drive to make the holiday season brighter for children and teens in our community. Our holiday gift room is 100% community supported, meaning that we rely on the generosity of folks like YOU to make it happen.

We have extended our donation days and are still accepting donations of new, unwrapped toys and presents for kids and teens ages 0-18. Our greatest needs include gifts for 11+, arts & craft supplies, educational toys, sports equipment, and self-care. Click here to view the full list and donation instructions.

Please do not purchase and send gifts, like you would on Amazon, to EFAA at this time.

Holiday Volunteer Opportunities

The holiday season is a special time to volunteer with EFAA! Volunteers will help us operate EFAA’s Holiday Gift Room and ensure a happy holiday season for economically challenged families during another exceptionally challenging year.

To ensure the safest possible environment for everyone, all volunteer positions are designed to limit contact and communication between volunteers, staff and participants/families. All staff and volunteers are required to follow EFAA’s COVID-19 Protocols.

The Gift Room will operate between Monday, December 12th & Saturday, December 17th with small teams of 4 – 6 volunteers. Volunteer shifts and times vary by date.

Volunteer shifts for this year’s gift room are currently full. If you’d like to be contacted if openings become available, please email volunteer@efaa.org.
