As many of us return to “life as normal”, our low income neighbors will feel the financial aftershocks of the pandemic for much longer. Families who are working to get back on their feet need help to make the holidays special for their children. We invite YOU to make a difference in the lives of our neighbors this holiday season by giving back to EFAA.

Holiday Food Needs

EFAA’s food bank relies on individual donations to help make the holidays special for families and individuals facing food insecurity. Support the food bank by shopping for EFAA online, hosting a food drive, or dropping off food donations from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., Monday through Friday.

Holiday Gift Room

We need new and unwrapped donations of gifts for children and teens ages 0-18. Click here for our greatest needs, and click here for our Amazon Wish List.

Donations accepted between 11/29 and 12/10
Monday through Friday, 10am-3pm

Donation Guidelines

  • Donated items must be new. Please DO NOT bring used items.
  • Please DO NOT wrap gifts so that parents can select age & gender-appropriate gifts.
  • We are unable to accept books or clothing for the Gift Room.

Holiday Volunteer Opportunities

The holiday season is a special time to volunteer at EFAA. Our greatest need for volunteers during this time is to help us operate the Holiday Gift Room.

Between Monday, December 13th and Saturday, December 18th, we’ll need a total of 5 volunteers each day per shift to run our Gift Room; 4 “Gift Station Monitors” and 1 “Exit Monitor.” Volunteer shifts are as follows:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, December 13, 14 & 15: Shifts are 9:15 am – 12:15 pm or 1:15 – 4:15 pm
Thursday, 12/16: Shifts are 9:15 am – 12:15 pm, 1:15 – 4:15 pm or 4:45 – 7:45 pm
Friday, 12/17: Shifts are 9:15 am – 12:15 pm or 1:15 – 4:15 pm
Saturday, 12/18: 9:15 – 12:15  or 1:15 – 4:15 pm

EFAA’s Holiday Gift Room will operate in alignment with all C.D.C. COVID-19 recommendations and all volunteers are required to follow recommendations along with EFAA’s COVID-19 Protocols
